Why we built Hazel.

Government procurement is how the public sector turns budgets into outcomes, and it's buckling. Procurement teams are asked to move faster every year with the same or less headcount, more rules, and tools built decades ago. The people doing this work are some of the most careful, process-minded professionals in government, and they deserve software that respects that. We started Hazel because we saw the gap up close at Palantir and BCG: brilliant procurement officers spending their weeks reformatting documents and chasing signatures instead of doing the judgment work only they can do. We build AI that takes the mechanical work off their desks and keeps the decisions where they belong, with them.
